ANDROID NEO - Draw this again! Meme

Allow me to say this right out of the gate, but oh my god your style has improved so much after just two years. Now, I haven't been following you that long, but hey, it's cool to see how far you've come. On to the complete review!

I'll start with the picture on the left. It's still Neo, sure, but if you told me he was an android, I would believe you but ask how he's an android. At first glance, it just looks like some kid who mashed up a costume from the stuff he wears on a daily basis: from the shoes to the jacket, it just seems like he wears it every day. Oh, and he jammed a wind-up key onto the jacket. The background, is... a little bit meh? Also, his face... it doesn't look right. It looks like he's avoiding eye-contact with someone. Lastly, overall, the character looks flat, but I'll explain why in the next part of the review.

On to the picture on the right, the re-draw! I'll say it again, oh my god you've improved so much. From the background, to the overall look of Neo, it's so much better. Now, if I was new, and I say Neo for the first time, I would IMMEDIATELY say that he was a robot. The enlarged arms, the larger ears, and even the glowing of his hands and jacket. And that key of his, too! The shoes are way more detailed than the previous picture. There's a lot more reality because of the extra folds in his pant-legs, and even the shoes look like you caught him strolling down the street. His smile is way more believable, and those glowing eyes of his instantly say "Hey, wanna be friends?" in the kindest way imaginable.

Overall, the bottom line of this piece is that you're showing us how you've improved, and it most certainly shows here. A very well executed meme!
